Sit a spell
One of the best parts of the Pacific Northwest summer is relaxing on our front porch. Over the last few years, I have collected things that make it a welcoming place for neighbors, friends, and family.
In addition to my perennial favorite - the porch swing (which I found on craigslist a few years ago) - I am really enjoying two maidenhair ferns that grace each side of the front door. They are peaceful and delicate, and remind me of woodland hikes.

Journey
This blog is dedicated to our amazing God, who showers us with love and gives us strength to look ahead to each new day. As we look up to Him, we discover who He is, who we are, what gifts He has lavished upon us, and how we can encourage others through both our trials and triumphs.
This is a place to capture all the little things I enjoy in my day to day life: "urban" homemaking, good food, completed undertakings, and bits of this and that. For while this life is not where we store up our greatest treasure, I am grateful and content to be here in the moment.
